Winchester's very rarely had any good luck at all. And Murphy's Law about 'if anything can go wrong it will' applied to them way too often. It was almost to the point that they could count on it now.
He too had noticed the generator sounds and lights. It was peculiar that Jeff had come out here to the mine and hadn't turned the generator on. He assumed that Leah had turned it on just now. At least she had that much common sense. But he didn't have long to think about it before the lights went out and he heard a scream. No that was definitely not a shadow person.
"Nope. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that was Leah and she's in trouble."
She couldn't have been in there longer that just a minute or so before the lights went out. Sam hoped her scream was simply because of the loss of the lights. But his instinct told him there was probably something else much more dangerous frightening her. He reached back to pull out the Taurus as they both now hurried to the mine shaft.
